Gale Implements Google Scholar

From Gary Ross, Senior Director of Technical Sales: Gale is pleased to announce that we have recently entered into an agreement with OCLC for the provision of WorldCat Link Manager Services to support Gale’s implementation of Google Scholar on a worldwide basis.  Under the agreement, OCLC will be providing Google Holdings XML files and Open URL resolution services to support access, through the World Wide Web, to Gale’s Academic OneFile for Gale’s consortia and major account customers.  This service will be rolled out this Spring and will enable access for over 12,000 libraries.  It is anticipated that over 100 million people will have access to Gale resources through Gale’s Google Scholar implementation.
